REITs vs InvITs: understanding the difference
How listed real-estate and infrastructure trusts differ in underlying assets and risk drivers.
Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs) generally hold income-generating real estate, while Infrastructure Investment Trusts (InvITs) hold eligible infrastructure assets.
Cash flows, asset concentration, leverage, regulation, market prices and distribution policies can differ. Listed units may fluctuate and market liquidity is not guaranteed.
